Register now for Sacred Hearts golf event

The 8th annual golf outing to benefit Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary School will be held May 15 at The Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove.
 
The morning event begins with an 8:30a.m. 9-hole shotgun scramble, which includes continental breakfast, golf and cart as well as a buffet lunch, awards presentation and raffle for $50 per person.

The afternoon event begins at noon with an 18-hole shotgun scramble, including boxed lunch, golf and cart for $100 per person.

The afternoon event concludes with a burger and brat dinner, awards presentation, raffle and silent auction following golf.

The registration deadline is May 1.

The golf outing is open to the public and will be held rain or shine.

Other activities at this year's event include special games, hole events, a silent auction and raffle.

A hole-in-one-event winner will win a sporty 2008 Toyota sponsored by SMART Motors.

Other winners will be eligible for prizes from The Oaks.

The course is located at 4740 Pierceville Road in Cottage Grove.

Participation in the event, along with sponsorships and donations, help ensure the growth and vitality of the school.

Along with physical improvements to the school, money raised at the event assists families who otherwise could not afford the cost of a Catholic education.
