Poppy Days to raise funds for American Legion Auxiliary

Mayor Joe Chase has proclaimed May 16 and 17 American Legion Auxiliary Poppy Days.

Unit 333 will have members distribute poppies at various businesses in Sun Prairie on those days. 

The Memorial Poppy is handmade by disabled Veterans in Wisconsin. This initiative is the oldest and most widely recognized American Legion Auxiliary program.

All donations go to veterans and their families.

"Please wear the poppy with pride to show tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom," said Unit 333 president Charlene Pulham.
