Voters: Muller for Council; Stackhouse, Shimek and Camber Davidson for School Board

Sixteen percent of Sun Prairie voters turned out Tuesday to replace one member each of the Common Council and School Board.

In the city's District 4, challenger John Muller defeated one-term incumbent Michael Bruhn, 528-374.

The other council candidates, all incumbents, ran unopposed. They are:

District 1 - Hariah Hutkowski (535 votes)
District 2 - Jonathan Freund (504 votes)
District 3 - Rodney Weber (337 votes)

In the race for three open seats on the School Board, voters chose incumbent David Stackhouse (2,232votes) and newcomers Jill Camber Davidson (2,259 votes) and Terry Shimek (2,041).

Veteran School Board member Mary Ellen Havel Lang lost for the first time in 12 years, receiving 1,481 votes.

The fifth candidate, Al Slane, garnered 1,326 votes.
