In determining elementary boundaries for the upcoming academic year, the Sun Prairie School Board is faced with a long division problem for which there is no clear-cut answer. No matter how the numbers are sliced, there will be a remainder of students who cannot attend their neighborhood school.
The School Board will continue to work on this real-life story problem at 6 p.m. tonight in Patrick Marsh Middle School. The "study session" will be another public hearing on elementary school boundaries. On the table for discussion this time:
** Moving the Park Circle (Hamilton Place) neighborhood from Westside to Royal Oaks.
** Moving Scottish Highlands, Brooks Estates, Grandview and Bristol Gardens -- neighborhoods north of Egre Road, west of Bird Street and south of Happy Valley road -- from C.H. Bird to Westside.
**Moving the Northwynde and Homestead Estates developments from C.H. Bird to Westside.
As at past hearings, a large turnout is expected. Attendees can register at the door to speak or place their comments on file.
